How to Search for Scholarships

Do you know where to look for scholarships? Scholarships are offered by Towson University, the State of Maryland, and various businesses and organizations. Several Internet Web sites will allow you to search for scholarships to match your individual qualifications:

? The Financial Aid Office?s Scholarship Seeker at {http://onestop.towson.edu/finaid} allows you to look for Towson University scholarships in your major, as well as university-wide scholarships not specific to a major

? The Maryland Higher Education Commission?s Web site at {http://www.mhec.state.md.us} has information on scholarships and grants for students who are legal residents of Maryland

? FastWeb ({http://www.fastweb.com}), Scholarship Resource Network ({http://www.srnexpress.com}) and the College Board ({http://www.collegeboard.com}) provide free searches for private scholarships from businesses and organizations

International students can search for scholarships through the following Web sites: {http://www.internationalstudent.com} (International Student Exchange & Study Abroad Resource) and {http://www.iefa.org} (International Education Financial Aid).
