The Maryland State Retirement Agency has just released the spring 2005 schedule for its always popular PRE-RETIREMENT PLANNING seminars. These one-day seminars are designed to provide participants (eligible faculty and staff employees and their spouses) with relevant and timely retirement planning information. Topics covered include the importance of planning, Social Security, MSRA benefits, supplemental retirement/deferred compensation and retiree health benefits coverage.
Because of space limitations, the Maryland State Retirement Agency will accept registrations only from faculty and staff employees of the State Retirement/Pension systems who are ELIGIBLE TO RETIRE WITHIN THE NEXT EIGHT YEARS and who have not attended one of these seminars within the last two years.
Towson University will again be a host site for several of these seminars this spring on Friday, Feb. 18, and Friday, April 8. In addition, the seminars are also offered at other locations throughout the state. Since registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, interested eligible Towson University faculty and staff members should obtain the necessary registration form as soon as possible from the Towson University Office of Human Resources. Please note that the completed registration form should NOT be returned to the Towson University Office Of Human Resources but instead must be sent to the address on the form.
Registration forms are available in the information display rack inside the Towson University Office of Human Resources in the Administration Building, or can be obtained by calling 410-704-3386 or e-mailing {arendt@towson.edu}.
