Benefits Bulletin: Don?t Forget The Benefits Festival!

Even though there is still no official announcement concerning the dates and details of the anticipated 2004 Open Enrollment period for all Maryland State insurance benefits for calendar year 2005, the Office of Human Resources encourages all faculty and staff members to attend the Benefits Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 17 in the University Union, second floor, Potomac Lounge.

All of the Maryland State benefits providers have confirmed their attendance at our festival, so take advantage of the opportunity to meet with them and find out about coverage (and hopefully the costs) for 2005.

Attendance is especially important for those employees currently enrolled in the United Concordia Dental Point of Service plan. Since the DPOS will no longer be offered by the State of Maryland in 2005, those employees will have to elect a new dental plan during Open Enrollment in order to have any State dental coverage in 2005.

A copy of the Benefits Festival flyer with more details is available at

More information about this year?s Open Enrollment will be published in Daily Digest.

Questions should be directed to Dave Curtis, x4-6018 or {dcurtis@towson.edu}, or Gail Price, x4-6017, {gprice@towson.edu}.
