Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows XP was recently released and will soon be available for download via Windows Update. This service pack includes significant changes to the security and functionality of Windows XP.
At this time the Office of Technology Services (OTS) does not recommend upgrading university-owned computers running Windows XP to Service Pack 2. (Note: most campus computers run Windows 2000 to which this update does not apply.)
