The General Accounting Division of the Comptroller?s office has notified all State agencies that effective immediately, the purchase of gift cards with the Visa procurement card is prohibited.
When considering alternatives to the purchase of gift cards, be sure to review Towson University?s policy 08-03-.03, Restricted and/or Prohibited Purchases Policy found at {https://inside.towson.edu/generalcampus/tupolicies/documents/08-03.03%20Procurement%20Restricted%20Purchases.doc}; note that the policy applies to all purchases, not just those made with the procurement card.
