Cisco Professor Bootcamp

The Center for Applied Information Technology at Towson University (CAIT), on behalf of the Maryland Alliance for Information Security Assurance (MAISA) announces a Cisco Professor Bootcamp. The class will be held at Towson University, August 16-19, 2004.

The Bootcamp will be conducted by Cisco’s Lead Bootcamp Instructor, and will be hands-on in a Lab environment with Internet access to Cisco resources.

Tentative schedule:

Day 1 ? general security topics (security policies, etc.), router security
Day 2 ? configuring firewalls for secure outbound and inbound access, configuring advanced protocols and intrusion detection, using the firewall as a VPN gateway
Day 3 ? configuring remote access VPN?s, firewall VPN?s, router VPN?s
Day 4 ? configuring intrusion detection sensors, configuring and customizing signatures, monitoring and managing alarm data

Attendance is limited to 25 and is open to current and future faculty members who teach or intend to teach Information Assurance and Network Security curriculum.
