This is a reminder to all regular faculty and staff employees that payroll deductions for Maryland State insurance coverage are only taken 24 times each calendar year. In 2008, those deductions are not scheduled to be taken from the August 6 paycheck. They will appear again in the August 20 paycheck. Payroll deductions for supplemental retirement plans, USM life insurance and USM long term disability coverage are taken throughout the year.
