Furlough Salary Reduction Timeline

As listed in the Furlough FAQs, temporary salary reductions for the FY2011 Furlough Plan will begin with the 9/1/10 pay date for regular employees and the 9/8/10 pay date for contingent employees. Salary reductions for the FY2010 Furlough Plan ended 6/23/10 for regular employees and 6/30/10 for contingent employees.

There are four pay periods between the end of the FY2010 furlough salary reductions and the beginning of the FY2011 reductions. During these pay periods, which begin with the 7/7/10 pay date for regular employees and the 7/14/10 pay date for contingent employees, many individuals should expect to see a net pay increase. That increase will last until the FY2011 salary reductions go into place, at which time net pay will decrease in accordance with the furlough plan.
