Emerging Technologies – Chat & Chew

Join fellow Towson faculty and staff members at a casual chat & chew session focused on the use of emerging technologies or Web 2.0 technologies as instructional tools. Bring your lunch, ideas, experiences, resources, etc, and meet other innovators in person.

Emerging Technologies – Record Voice and Screen Capture Easily with Jing

Jing is free software for capturing and sharing whatever action is happening on your computer screen along with voice narration. Jing captures can be done anywhere you have a computer, microphone and headset or speakers. (Jing captures are limited to five minutes.)

Participants will learn to:
? Use Jing to record onscreen action (including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, video and specialized programs).
? Narrate captures in real-time.
? Post Jing presentations to Blackboard to share with students.
? Use best practices in choosing when to use Jing for face-to-face and online classes.
? Create still screen-captures with easy annotation.
