How was my 2009-2010 parking permit rate calculated?

Parking permit rates for fall 2009 were increased by $10 to help cover the additional debt retirement associated with the Towsontown garage expansion.

As a reminder, parking permit rates for faculty and staff are based on income. Since it is impossible to accurately project an employee?s income for the current year, permit rates are based on prior year income (July through June). While there was no merit/COLA for this year, any merit/COLA pay, promotions and demotions that occurred between July 2008 and June 2009 may affect your fall 2009 permit rate. If your permit rate increased by more than $10 it is likely a result of an increase you received between July 2008 and June 2009 that placed you in a new parking permit category. If you believe there has been an error in your income calculation, please e-mail {mpfeifer@towson.edu} or call x4-5089 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
