Parking Notice ? FALL ?07 PERMIT RENEWALS

GENERAL INFORMATION
Faculty and staff parking permits and gate control cards will go on sale, beginning Monday, July 16, 2007. In an effort to make the process as easy as possible, parking permits will be available for purchase on-line at parking.towson.edu. You may also purchase your permit by visiting the Auxiliary Services Business Office located in the University Union, across from the University Store.

All Faculty/Staff who utilized payroll deduction to pay for their parking permit last year will automatically have their parking permit renewed, using payroll deduction as the payment method. Parking permits will be sent to your address on file. You do NOT have to complete an application or go on-line. Should you wish to stop payroll deduction, you will need to submit a new payroll deduction card to the Auxiliary Services Business Office marked ?cancel?. Payroll deduction cards may be found on the parking web site under forms, or may be picked up at the Auxiliary Services Business Office.

COST OF YOUR PARKING PERMIT
Please see the web site for ’08 permit rates. As in the past, permit rates are based on the employee?s annualized base salary (including Chair Stipends). This information is provided to Parking Services by Human Resources. If you feel there is a discrepancy about your annualized salary level as of June 30, 2006, please e-mail {mpfeifer@towson.edu} or call x4-5089, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Payment Options

? PAYROLL DEDUCTION*
Pre-tax payroll deduction is available to all regular, non-contingent employees who choose to enroll. Open enrollment for payroll deduction will be from July 16, 2007 to August 17, 2007. Remember if you used payroll deduction last year, you do NOT have to complete the application process for 08 – your permit will automatically be sent. If you are unsure if you used payroll deduction last year, please refer to your pay stub to see if you had parking deductions. Payroll deduction registration will not be available for current employees after 4 p.m. on August 17, 2007. Applications received after this time will not be processed and will be returned to sender.

Individuals who did not utilize payroll deduction for last years permit will be required to complete the application process. You can sign up for your permit on-line, in person at the Auxiliary Services Business office or by submitting an application through the mail. You will need to complete and return a payroll deduction form that can be found on the parking web site under forms, or be picked up from the Auxiliary Services Business Office, before your permit can be sent. If you sign up for payroll deduction, you will be providing Parking and Transportation Services the authorization to continue payroll deduction as long as you are employed as a regular employee with the university.

? INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS*
All faculty/staff (regular and contingent) also have the option of paying for their permit through 4 equal installment payments. Payments will be over four consecutive months. You will need to complete and return an installment form that can be found on the parking web site under forms, or be picked up from the Auxiliary Services Business Office, before your permit can be sent. Installment payments will be available through January 31, 2008. Please see the web site for more information.

? CREDIT CARD, CHECK OR CASH
All faculty/staff (regular and contingent) have the option of paying with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover), check or cash. Individuals wishing to use a check or cash as the payment method must submit an application in person or through the mail. Do not send cash through the mail.

*Semester permits may not be paid for through payroll deduction or installment payments.
