International Students Health Insurance Coverage Requirements

All International Students on F- AND J- VISAS are REQUIRED to have health insurance while they are at Towson University. This insurance must meet the university’s minimum standards. See {www.towson.edu/dowellhealthcenter}or call the Insurance Coordinator at 410-704-3703 for more information. International students with F- and J- visas will be automatically enrolled in the Towson-sponsored student health insurance plan (SHIP) when they come to Towson. The cost of the insurance will be charged to their university tuition account.
If you already have health insurance, you are required to submit a waiver form, available at {www.towson.edu/dowellhealthcenter}, with a copy of your health insurance policy and a copy both sides of your insurance card to the Dowell Health Center. If your waiver is approved, your university account will be credited the amount of the insurance charge. You must submit the waiver form by September 15, 2008.
