The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is continuing its Lunch and Learn lecture series especially for on-campus faculty and staff. Join us for an enlightening and provocative hour on a timely topic.

Dr. Steven Phillips is Associate Professor in the History Department and Director of Asian Studies at Towson University. He is also the Martha A. Mitten Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Towson University. Modern Chinese history is his special field of study and research.

In his position as the Martha A. Mitten Professor, Dr. Phillips is organizing a three-year series of speeches and conferences related to China. In this series, Towson University will introduce a variety of perspectives on China?s economic, political, cultural and military rise that will highlight how a rapidly changing China impacts American citizens.
