College of Liberal Arts – Phase Two
? The steel frame of the glass gallery connecting phase two and phase one of the building is 50% erected.
? The exterior masonry is in progress on the easternmost portion of the building.
? The brick is nearing completion on the middle portion of the building.
? Wall framing is in progress on all floors of the center building.
? Window system installation will begin in the coming weeks.
Newell Dining Recycling and Refuse Depot
? This project was completed at the end of October.
West Village Commons Construction Update
? Concrete foundations are being installed along the hillside south of Emerson Drive.
? The first level concrete foundations which rest on stone are being installed.
? The first level concrete foundations which rest on dirt are being supported by a crushed stone pier called a Geopier, which is being installed.
? The first level?s concrete elevator shaft, walls and columns are being installed.
Campus Site and Safety
? The grand stairs between Hawkins Hall and the Psychology Building continues to be developed and is on schedule for a March 2010 completion.
? The bridge between Hawkins Hall and the Psychology Building is almost complete and is now on schedule for an early December opening.
? Construction on the Lecture Hall Plaza is on schedule to begin this January.
? The remaining concrete ramp by the Lecture Hall will be removed during the winter 2010 minimester.
