Towson University?s 3rd Annual Environmental Conference will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 from 8AM ? 3 PM in the University Union.
The Office of Civic Engagement, Environmental Initiatives Committee and President?s Climate Commitment Committee invite faculty to participate in this year?s conference.
Faculty are encouraged to participate by:
a. Encouraging students to attend (faculty who assign the conference as extra credit receive a list of students who attend)
b. Involving classes by having students develop a presentation to submit for the conference
c. Presenting on a topic of interest to you
Sample Presentation Topics Include:
? Sustainability and Technology Solutions in the Climate Policy Debate
? Community Supported Agriculture
? The Economic Impacts of Sustainability Efforts
? The Time of the Place: Using History to look at Nature

All Requests for Proposals are due by March 4th, 2011!
The university?s annual Environmental Conference is developed by TU students, faculty and staff to raise awareness amongst the campus community about environmental topics, issues and solutions. This year?s conference theme is ?Sustainability: Reducing Our Carbon Paw Print? and will feature keynote speakers, multiple workshops and interactive sessions on the topic of sustainability. Members of the campus community will gather to hear presentations from faculty, students and environmental leaders in the Baltimore region.
The conference is FREE to members of the campus community and includes breakfast and lunch. Workshop and registration information will be available later in the month.
