On November 20, 2008 Towson University will host its first Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Celebration and Expo in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Union from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The purpose of this special event is to recognize and celebrate the efforts of individuals and programs across the University that encourage and promote K-16 students to pursue careers in STEM fields and help ensure we have sufficient and well-prepared teachers throughout the state of Maryland to teach in these disciplines.
The program will feature presentations highlighting just some of Towson University’s accomplishments in these areas together with an informal poster presentation sessions where many of the programs and efforts will be represented with individuals available to provide information and answer questions. Everyone is invited to attend this expo to learn more about these programs, find ways to participate in them, and help celebrate our efforts toward educating the science and technology workforce of tomorrow.
If you would like to present your work or simply learn more, are interested in presenting or displaying a poster please contact: Rommel Miranda at 410-704-3017 or by e-mail at {rmiranda@towson.edu}.
