Virtual Workspace (http://vw.towson.edu.) is a convenient and secure way to work on or off campus from nearly any device using only a browser. The Office of Technology Services (OTS) continues to enhance this service by adding features to help faculty, staff and students access applications and data while working remotely or from on-campus.
What’s New
During past few months, OTS made numerous improvements to the Virtual Workspace service. If you haven’t logged in in a while, you may have missed these recent enhancements:
- More applications – there are now a total of 36 applications available for faculty, staff and students. See the Software Inventory for the full listing of applications.
- Noteworthy application additions for faculty and staff include: Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Nvivo
- Access your OneDrive storage as a drive (T:) while using the Towson Desktop.
- A new desktop was created for students
- One Physics lab is running on Virtual Workspace with thin clients
- The Library is now using Virtual Workspace to provide access to Windows applications on Mac computers
