Scholarship funds for Mature Students

Interested in scholarship funds for Mature Students?

Towson University is committed to the academic success of our mature students. Please review the eligibility criteria to learn more about the scholarships listed below and to apply to the ones for which you may be eligible.

The Application Deadline date for all scholarships is June 1st, 2017.

Important information about applying for these scholarships:

  • You must apply for each scholarship separately.
  • Due to high demand and our desire to help as many students as possible, you cannot receive more than one of these scholarships.
  • You must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the 2017-2018 FAFSA application.

Charlotte W. Newcombe Endowed Scholarship for Mature Women and Men

The goal of the Charlotte Newcombe Scholarship program is to support students 25 and older in the completion of a first bachelor’s degree so they can advance their careers after graduation. This scholarship is administered by the Women’s Resources Program in the Center for Student Diversity.

Newcombe scholars participate in a comprehensive campus support program.  Additional requirements and applications are available at: http://www.towson.edu/womensresources/scholarships.html

Pathways Scholarship

The Pathways Scholarship provides financial assistance for low-income parents who have completed a community college degree and are finishing a first undergraduate degree.  This scholarship is also administered by the Women’s Resources Program in the Center for Student Diversity.

Osher Reentry Scholarship

 

The Osher Reentry Scholarship provides financial assistance to students 25 and older pursuing their first undergraduate degree.  Candidates for this scholarship must have experienced a break or breaks in their undergraduate enrollment totaling at least 5 years.  This scholarship program is administered by the TU Scholarship Unit.
