Documentary Screening and Q&A for Blaxploitalian: 100 Years of Blackness in Italian Cinema

Wednesday, April 12, 6:30pm

College of Liberal Arts building – LA 3310

Italian-Ghanaian director and activist, Fred Kuwornu, presents a documentary screening of his latest film project, “Blaxploitalian: 100 Years of Blackness in Italian Cinema.”  Blaxploitalian is “a diasporic, hybrid, critical, and cosmopolitan dimension documentary that uncovers the careers of a population of entertainers seldom heard from before: black actors in Italian cinema. More than an unveiling of history, it is a call-to-action for increased diversity in international cinema.” (https://www.blaxploitalian.com/)
