“Human Library: Challenging Prejudice through Conversation”
The Human Library is a safe conversational space where individuals representing a stigmatized group act as human books, speaking with patrons and ultimately challenging societal prejudices while building community. Cook Library partnered with the Center for Student Diversity to hold the event here at Towson University. Come learn more about what a Human Library is, discuss how the Towson iteration went, and have a candid conversation about multicultural identity. More information about the event may be found here: http://towson.libguides.com/tuhumanlibrary.
This event is open to all faculty, staff, and students. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Multiculturalism in Action Brown Bag Series is a new brown bag series sponsored by the Office of the Provost’s Diversity Faculty Fellows Program. The brown bags will showcase diversity-related research and multicultural scholarly activities conducted by Towson University faculty. For additional information, contact Dr. Danice Brown at dlbrown@towson.edu.
