Brand Mark Mastery: Signed, _____ed, delivered

From time to time, the university breaks out the fine china — the university seal.

  • Originally based on the great seal of the State of Maryland, the seal has been updated several times through the years.
  • The seal is restricted to use on official documents (transcripts, diplomas), for select ceremonies, and by the Office of the President.
  • The seal’s limited use helps unify TU’s visual identity behind the primary brand mark.

If you are interested in using the university seal, please contact Creative Services. Unless you work for the President’s Office, the answer is probably ‘no,’ but it’s always nice to hear from people. Adhering to the brand mark standards is the responsibility of anyone who uses any of the university logos. Keep checking T3 for periodic ‘Brand Mark Mastery’ tips throughout the year.
