The brand mark standards aren’t only about how to use the university logo, they are also about how NOT to use it. While we encourage creativity, that does not extend to the brand mark itself. Consistent application is critical.
- The brand mark absolutely may not be changed or manipulated in any way.
- When in doubt, check out the Prohibited Uses page of the brand mark standards that shows many common misapplications of the brand mark.
- If you still aren’t sure if it is okay to do something with the brand mark, please check with Creative Services.
The best rule of thumb is that if you feel you have to change the brand mark to make it work, you should STOP — you are doing something wrong. Following the brand mark standards is the responsibility of anyone who uses the university logo. Keep checking T3 for periodic ‘Brand Mark Mastery’ tips throughout the year.
