Study Abroad application deadlines for minimester 2017 and spring 2017 are coming up fast – don’t miss out! Follow these steps to start planning your international experience:
· Attend a Study Abroad 101 information session (optional). 101 sessions are held daily Monday through Friday at 2 p.m. in PY #408. You’ll learn the basics of studying abroad and hear about personal experiences from our study abroad alum! The meeting lasts approximately 30 minutes. No need to sign up in advance.
· Come to a Study Abroad 201 group advising session (mandatory for all students except those participating in a TU faculty-led program). 201 meetings are held Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. in PY #408. The group meeting tells you everything you need to know about the study abroad process including how to search for programs, how to apply, financial aid and scholarships, and course, grade, and credit transfers. The meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes. No need to sign up in advance.
· Meet with a Study Abroad Advisor. After attending the 201 group advising session, you are required to schedule a one-on-one meeting with a Study Abroad Adviser to begin planning your study abroad experience.* Together you can compare program options and discuss your goals for study abroad to find a program that suits your specific needs.
