Below is information for residents who will be moving in:

Official Move-In Days – Thursday, August 25 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

-Parking permits are NOT required on these days.

-Please follow posted signs and staff directions in order to access unloading locations near the residence halls.

-Once directed to an unloading area by posted staff, please immediately unload your items to the grass and sidewalk areas.

Do not leave your vehicle unattended – A driver must remain with the vehicle at all times while unloading.

-As soon as your belongings are unloaded from the vehicle, please move your vehicle to a designated parking area in the garages.  Housing staff will be on site with carts to assist you with moving your items to your room.

Unofficial Move-In Days:

If you are moving in any day other than the official move-in days on August 25, August 27 and August 28, please ensure you follow the guidelines below:

-During Fall Move-In, designated “Move-In” spaces will be located near each residence hall.

-Vehicles may only be parked in “Move-In” spaces for a maximum of 30 minutes.

-A permit is not required while parked in a “Move-In” space.  However, once vehicles are unloaded, they must move to a legal commuter, overflow, resident or visitor space based on the individual’s parking permit type.

-If you do not have a valid parking permit and you are parking during enforcement hours, you must either purchase a student permit online  or purchase a “Visitor” permit from a pay station for the timeframe your vehicle will not be parked in designated “Move-In” parking spaces.

-All vehicles must be parked in a legal space.

-At no time may any vehicle be parked in fire lanes, in a roadway, on sidewalks, on grass, or otherwise reserved space, even for a few minutes.

-Only vehicles displaying state issued handicapped license plates or permits may be parked in handicapped spaces.

For the safety of our campus community, illegally parked vehicles may be cited and towed at the owner’s expense.
