Louise Laurence, Associate Dean of the College of Business and Economics, is retiring Aug. 3 after 29 years at CBE.
Louise has been the dean’s right-hand woman for the last 15 years, but prior to that she was a beloved professor of economics and was instrumental in creating the student services center now known as CBE Student Academic and Career Services (SACS).
While we’ll miss Louise and her wisdom, humor and no-nonsense-let’s-get this-stuff-done attitude, we’re so happy for her much-deserved retirement!
The CBE Dean’s Office is hosting a goodbye open house for Louise on Aug. 1 from 2-4 p.m. in ST 216. Stop by to wish her well and enjoy some cake and ice cream.
