Degree Completion Plan

Whether your name is Ann, Stan, Fran, Dan or any other moniker, if you are on track to have between 45 and 105 earned credits and you have not filed a plan, you must complete an approved (Individualized) Degree Completion Plan. This is indicated in the Hold box on the Student Center with “Student Degree Plan Required”. This means that this semester, you are required by the University – as a result of a state mandate – to complete and submit a plan of the courses you will take in each of your remaining semesters at Towson to finish your Bachelor’s Degree.  A degree completion plan takes into account not only the courses needed, but also the appropriate sequencing and timing of the courses.

To prepare your Degree Completion Plan:

  • check out Towson’s online undergraduate catalog for the recommended plan of study for your major;
  • review your Academic Requirements Report to see which graduation requirements you have met and which you need to complete; and
  • go to the website of your College or Major Department to find information about how to file a Degree Completion Plan with your advisor or academic department.
  • Special note for students who are studying abroad or participating in a National Student Exchange this semester. Some academic departments require submission of the Degree Completion Plan to allow removal of the Academic Advising hold. Be sure to check with your Towson advisor about this requirement.
