Benefits Bulletin: Wellness News – Happy and Healthy Holiday Tips

The holidays are a time to celebrate, give thanks, and reflect.  They are also a time to pay special attention to your health.  Give the gift of health and safety to yourself and others by following these tips:

  1. Wash your hands often to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.
  2. Avoid serious health problems such as hypothermia by staying warm and dry, and wearing several    layers of clothing.
  3. Manage stress by getting enough sleep, asking for support from friends and family, and keeping a relaxed and positive outlook.
  4. Handle and prepare food safely–wash hands and surfaces often; keep raw meat and poultry away from ready-to-eat foods and eating surfaces.
