After 20 years of hard work and dedication at Towson University, Ella Watts, Assistant Director in Financial Services, will retire effective January 1, 2016. Ella started out her career at TU in 1995 as a part-time employee in Financial Services as an FRS Coordinator. Because of her hard work and dedication to the university, she was promoted to the full-time position of Assistant Director of Systems and Technology within Financial Services in 2002.
Ella was instrumental in important milestones within the department, including the creation of the Financial Services’ website, the creation of the Procurement Card System, and the conversion of the University Financial system from FRS to PeopleSoft in 2008–not to mention coordinating the complex fiscal year end close process each year.
Please stop by the Administration building, room 432, on Wednesday, December 23 , between 11 a.m. and noon to wish Ella a very happy retirement. Her work ethic and dynamic personality will be missed.
