If you are a contingent faculty member (adjunct or lecturer) or a contingent staff member (contingent I, II, or contingent flat rate), are currently enrolled in a state of Maryland health benefits plan OR are planning to enroll during open enrollment, you use the state of Maryland direct-pay system to pay for your health insurance.
Once the state of Maryland processes your benefits enrollment they will mail payment coupons to your address of record. You have two ways to pay:
- Mail a check, payable to the State of Maryland, to the address printed on the coupons.
- Pay on-line
- Go to the Department of Budget and Management Benefits page.
- If you are first time user, click on FAQs for First Time Users to view step by step directions on how to register for the online payment system.
- Click on Pay your Direct Pay Coupons Now. Log in and make your payment.
