Benefits Bulletin: IRS Announces 2016 Retirement Plan Contribution Limits

The IRS recently announced there are no changes to the retirement plan contribution limits for the 2016 calendar year. See the guide below for plan types and amounts which remain in effect next year.

Plan Type                                                            Maximum Employee Contribution during CY 2016

401(k)/403(b) aggregate limit                     $18,000

457(b)                                                                   $18,000

Catch-up contributions                                  $ 6,000

(Age 50+)

If you wish to make changes to your contribution amount and you are enrolled in Fidelity and/or TIAA-CREF, please submit an updated supplemental enrollment and change form to HR-Benefits. These forms are available in the retirement section of the benefits web page.
