To kick off the health benefits open enrollment, TU’s annual benefits fair will be held on Friday, October 9, 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Chesapeake Rooms of the UU.
Here are just a few reasons you’ll want to visit the benefits fair:
- You will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from CareFirst, Kaiser Permanente, United Healthcare, Delta Dental, United Concordia, and Express Scripts; you can ask questions about coverage or talk with the medical plan representatives to finalize the 2015 wellness requirements or learn about the 2016 wellness requirements.
- Thinking about increasing your life insurance or enrolling in long-term care? Then you’ll want to speak with the representatives from Minnesota Life, UNUM, and/or Prudential.
- Always wondered how to start a flexible spending account and what is deemed to be an eligible expense? Be sure to speak with the Connect Your Care representative.
- Have you be meaning to save for retirement or start a college savings plan for your child or grandchild? Consultants from Fidelity, MD Supplemental Retirement Plan, Nationwide, TIAA-CREF, and the College Savings Plan will be at the fair.
- Did you know TU employees have many resources on campus? Stop by their tables and speak with our colleagues from Cook Library, OTS, TUPD, the TU Bookstore, Training & Development, and the TU Wellness Center to learn more!
- We will also have members from our local community who provide services and programs to TU employees – BJs, Costco, Legal Shield, PNC, SECU, and SmartMove, to name a few.
- Flu shots will be available at the fair. The cost is $20 (payable by check) OR the health center can bill your insurance if you bring your insurance card to the fair.
- Of course, you do not want to miss light refreshments and a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card, TU stadium blanket, and many other great raffle prizes!
We hope you will join us for this festive and informative event.
