Towson Arboretum Volunteer Day

The Towson Arboretum invasive species team is having our first volunteer day on Friday, September 11th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Volunteers should meet at the gazebo behind Smith Hall. If you don’t know where that is, but can find Smith Hall, just go to the “back” of Smith and find the concrete stairs that lead down into the wooded area. Go down the stairs, and you’ll see the gazebo about 20 yards down the asphalt path.

We will provide water and snacks plus all the equipment you’ll need, along with instruction on what we’ll be doing. We *HIGHLY* recommend you wear long pants and sturdy shoes (not flip-flops or sandals, but sneakers are fine). Short sleeve shirts are fine. Don’t wear nice clothing, as there are some plants with thorns that may snag or poke holes in what you’re wearing.

You can work for as much or little of the three hours as you want and if you need volunteer hours for organizations, student or sports clubs, we can provide them (along with documentation that you were there).
