The International Student and Scholar Office welcomes new and continuing international students back to campus. We hope you had a great summer and are excited to have a successful semester. In order to succeed, you must stay in status by following federally mandated immigration regulations. Here are critical reminders for new and continuing international students.
New Students:
1. Complete document check-in.
2. Complete the SEVIS tutorial on Blackboard.
3. Report your local address using TU online services.
4. Take a full course load. Undergraduate students must take at least 12 credits, and graduate students must take at least 9 credit hours at the masters level, and 6 credits at the doctoral level. If you believe you have a reason to take a reduced course load (for example: this is your last semester, or you have an assistantship, or a medical reason), please promptly complete and submit this form to the ISSO with appropriate supporting documents as indicated on the form.
Continuing Students:
1. Report any changes in your local address using TU online services.
2. Take a full course load. Undergraduate students must take at least 12 credits, and graduate students must take at least 9 credit hours at the masters level, and 6 credits at the doctoral level. All international students must be enrolled full time by the end of Change of Schedule period (September 3) to comply with federal immigration requirements.
