Parking & Transportation Services would like to provide you with some useful tips for campus parking. Below are quick summaries of the types of student permits and where they are valid. Follow this information and posted signs.

Permit Information:
- Off Campus Students – There are two types of permits, as outlined below, that are available for off campus commuters:
- Commuter Permit (signage with green border) – Only available to students with 30 credits or more. Students with this permit may park in designated commuter areas in the Glen Garage, Towsontown Garage, and Union Garage. Students with this permit may also park in designated overflow areas at any time. These areas are located in Towson Center lots 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 (except 21A). Also, there are designated overflow areas on the second and third levels of the West Village Garage.
- Overflow Permit (signage with black border that states “All Permits Are Valid”)– Available to students with 29 credits or less and non-degree seeking students. Before 3pm, students with this permit are only allowed to park in designated overflow areas” in Towson Center lots 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 (except 21A). Also, students with this permit may park in designated overflow commuter areas on the second and third levels of the West Village Garage.
- Evening Permits:
- Evening permits are only valid after 3 p.m. in all Commuter areas and Overflow areas
- If you have an “Evening” permit and need to be on campus prior to 3 p.m., you must purchase a visitor permit and park in a visitor space.
- Resident (signage with purple boarder) student parking is available as outlined below:
- Resident lots are marked by signs with a purple boarder and require the appropriate lot specific permit at ALL times.
- Resident students are eligible for parking based on their housing assignment and the number of credits they have completed.
- Lot 26 Glen Towers – Available to those who live in any of the Glen Towers and have 30 or more credits. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
- Lot 7 Towsontown Garage 3rd level – Available to those who live in any of the housing located on the north side of campus and have 30 or more credits. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
- West Village Garage – upper levels – Available to those who live in any of the West Village housing area, those in Millennium Hall who couldn’t get a Millennium Hall permit, those who could not obtain a lot 26 or 7 permit and those with less than 30 credits. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
Things to remember:
- The Towsontown, Union, and Glen garages are typically full by 9 a.m., Monday through Thursday. If you arrive after 9 a.m. and cannot find a parking space, additional parking spaces are available at the Towson Center overflow parking lots located near the SECU Arena and in designated overflow areas of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the West Village Garage.
- All permits are valid in “Overflow” areas at all times.
- Faculty/Staff areas are open to all permits after the hours posted on signs.
- Free on-campus shuttle services are available from overflow areas to take students to and from core campus.
- Do you have a new vehicle or a car rental? If so, please remember to add the vehicle to your eParking account or complete an “Add Vehicle Request” form, which can be found online at: http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/auxservices/parking/forms/addvehicle.asp
