National Student Employment Week – April 13-16

Each year, during the full second week of April, colleges and universities across the country recognize the importance of the student work experience during 2015 National Student Employment Week (April 13-16). Student employment offers students career-enhancing opportunities, the ability to develop skills relevant in any career, and better preparation for the job market upon graduation.

In addition, the Career Center will host a series of personal and professional development workshops for all students:

Monday, April 13: How to Make Your Part-Time Work Experience Relevant

Wednesday, April 15: Playing Nice in the Workplace

Thursday, April 16: Effective Networking – Making Professional Contacts

Here at Towson University student employees perform invaluable services with enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative. It is only appropriate to set aside a special week to draw the awareness of others, both on and off-campus.
