If you’ve ever had any doubts about what happens to our recycling after we toss it in the bin, this is your chance to get the real story. Join your TU Eco-reps on Friday, March 27 for a free, one-hour tour of Baltimore County’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Cockeysville. This single-stream recycling facility not only processes 35 tons of recyclables an hour, but generates as much as 2 million annually!
Shuttles will leave campus from General Services at 12:15 p.m. to start the tour promptly at 1 p.m. To RSVP, email gogreen@towson.edu, and don’t forget to join the event on Facebook. The available 30 spots for the tour are filling up quickly, so act fast if you would like to go!
