The deadline for accepting spring 2015 tuition remission forms is 1/29/15. If you or an eligible child/spouse is attending TU, please submit your tuition form by the deadline. All other USM institutions, plus Morgan, St. Mary’s and BCCC, have listed their deadline dates on http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/hr/benefits/summaries.asp
Employees who are claiming a child on the Tax Affidavit, regardless of where the child is attending, MUST certify you are claiming that child during the year in which the semester falls. Forms with prior years’ dates will not be processed until there is a confirmation of the correct year.
Questions related to billing should be addressed to the billing department at the institution where you or your dependent is attending.
Once your tuition remission form is processed, the approved copy of your form will be emailed to you using TU’s file delivery service.
Effective with the spring 2015 semester, the tuition remission policy now permits employees a 50% benefit when sending a dependent child to another USM institution, regardless of whether the academic program is offered at TU. This includes MSU, STM, and BCCC as well. The policy continues to cover tuition at 100% if the dependent child attends TU.
