A study on the needs of informal caregivers of older adults and the impacts of a caregiver training program on quality of life is being undertaken by students and faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy & Occupational Science at Towson University. These sessions will be available beginning in January 2015 and continue through the 2015 spring semester.
Participants will be part of a free individualized hands-on training program. The training involves tailored training using resources from our Caregiver Toolkit, home visits (optional) or individual meetings, follow-up phone calls or email, and a group session for caregivers with an invited speaker.
Participants must be able to communicate in English and be 18 years of age or older. Data collected during the training will be kept confidential. Each participant will be provided with free caregiver resources during the training program. This study has been approved by the Towson University Institutional Review Board.
