The State of Maryland Department of Budget and Management announced two additional Health Insurance Premium Holidays in October 2014. If you are a Regular employee, the paychecks you receive on October 8th and October 22nd will not have payroll deductions for medical, prescription, and dental insurance. Any other plans you may be enrolled in (such as term life, AD&D, and flexible spending accounts) will be deducted as usual in those two checks.
If you are a Contingent employee who pays premiums on a monthly basis directly to the State of Maryland Employee Benefits Division, no premiums for medical, prescription, and dental is due for the month of October.
