The annual health benefits open enrollment provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to make changes to current benefits which become effective January 1, 2015. The open enrollment period will be October 15 – November 14, 2014. Distribution of open enrollment materials to Towson faculty and staff will begin late September – early October. To learn more about 2015 benefit changes and review the 2015 benefits booklet, please visit the State of Maryland, Employee Benefits Division (EBD) website at http://dbm.maryland.gov/benefits/Pages/HBHome.aspx. Please review this material carefully, as there are many changes for the 2015 plan year.
There are several avenues for you to learn more about the health benefit changes:
- Attend Towson’s annual benefits fair on Friday, October 3, 2014, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm, in the Potomac Lounge of the University Union. You will be able to speak with health plan representatives and benefits staff members to gather additional information to help you make informed decisions about your benefits. Flu shots will also be available during the fair, in room 306 of the University Union. The cost is $20 and a check is the only form of payment accepted for the flu shot; make your check payable to Towson University.
- Representatives from EBD will present open enrollment meetings during the fair to explain the changes to 2015 benefits and answer your questions. The meetings will be held from 11 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 2 pm in room 305 in the University Union.
- Open enrollment outreach sessions are planned on the following dates below. The open enrollment outreach sessions are available for faculty and staff to meet with a benefits staff member to ask questions or deliver their completed open enrollment forms.
