Do you enjoy getting the opportunity to interact with students, faculty and staff out of the classroom? If so, you should consider facilitating a conversation at one of our New York Times Talks this fall.
The Office of Civic Engagement & Leadership is looking for dynamic faculty and staff members who are interested in engaging students, faculty, and staff in a conversation about topics facing our neighborhoods, our nation, and our country ripped right from the headlines!
NY Times Talks are held from 12:00 PM – 1:30PM in the University Union Room 305.
The available dates for the Fall 2014 Semester are:
- Tuesday, October 7, 2014
- Wednesday, November 5, 2014
- Tuesday, November 18, 2014
- Wednesday, December 3, 2014
Assessment from the NYTT showed that students strongly agreed/agreed that the programs
- Contributed to their personal and social development as a student (67%)
- Contributed to their professional/career interests (59%)
- Relevant to the academic courses that they are taking or would be taking in the future (45%)
