New York Times Talks Facilitator Recruitment

Do you enjoy getting the opportunity to interact with students, faculty and staff out of the classroom? If so, you should consider facilitating a conversation at one of our New York Times Talks this fall.

The Office of Civic Engagement & Leadership is looking for dynamic faculty and staff members who are interested in engaging students, faculty, and staff in a conversation about topics facing our neighborhoods, our nation, and our country ripped right from the headlines!

The available dates for the Fall 2014 Semester are:

  • Tuesday, September 9, 2014
  • Wednesday, September 24, 2014
  • Tuesday, October 7, 2014
  • Wednesday, October 22, 2014
  • Wednesday, November 5, 2014
  • Tuesday, November 18, 2014
  • Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Assessment from the NYTT showed that students strongly agreed/agreed that the programs

  • Contributed to their personal and social development as a student (67%)
  • Contributed to their professional/career interests (59%)
  • Relevant to the academic courses that they are taking or would be taking in the future (45%)
