Fall 2014 Faculty/Staff Parking Permit Rates & Sales

Over the past several years, Parking & Transportation Services expenses have increased as a result of building the West Village garage, mandatory merit and COLA increases and department expansion.  Since 2011, the university avoided increasing parking permit rates by temporarily drawing on other revenue sources. With those sources no longer available, parking permit fees and student fees must increase.

After much consideration and consultation with the TU Administration, TUSC, RPAC and the SGA, the decision has been made to increase permit fees for students and faculty/staff by 9 percent for the fall 2014 academic year.  The permit rate tiers will also change, with the A tier representing employees who make up to $19,999 per year, and the new top tier representing employees who make $100,000 or more per year. Permit rates for those in the new top tier will increase by 15 percent. In addition to the permit adjustments, student fees will also increase in order to generate funding.

See below for the revised tier structure and associated 2014-2015 permit rates.  Note that your rate for fall permits is based on your prior year income as reported by Human Resources.
