Please join members of the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum and invited guests at the March 20 meeting! You are welcome to invite up to two guests if you would like.

Jonathan Haynie, Cisco Collaboration Product Specialist, will cover how organizations are using collaboration solutions to improve their business processes and operations. The way we communication in our personal lives has changed drastically over the past 5 years.  Cisco is embracing those changes, recognizing their implications, and integrating them into a centrally managed and secure enterprise collaboration solution. Using applications that include Instant Messaging, Presence, voice, video, and web conferencing all under one platform, these solutions are helping customers become much more efficient as an organization.  They are able to find experts, work as teams, and come up with answers within their organization quickly, regardless of their physical or geographic location.  Other components in Cisco’s collaboration strategy are helping these institutions communicate and coordinate with people outside of their organization.  All of these solutions will be discussed, as well as the process involved in really understanding how to align collaboration solutions with the proper use cases to solve business problems or meet overall business objectives.

Slava Frid, Managing Director and Exceptional Digital Experience Practice Leader at Gemini Systems will discuss the latest thinking in enabling a Smarter Workforce through the use of Social Business and Collaboration tools. One of the persistent problems facing organizations of all sizes is not simply the deployment or introduction of new products and applications, but their adoption into the typical workstream and operational processes.  Without adoption, these products often turn out to be costly investments that are written off and abandoned. Gemini Systems has been working with organizations to improve adoption and effective use of Social and Business Collaboration through the use of Analytics, Community Management, and a solid Adoption plan.  Slava will share some thoughts and experiences in what makes for a successful adoption of Social and Collaboration tools including key success factors.
