Spring break shut down instructions

Spring break is the perfect time to SAVE ENERGY! The university spends $6.1 million on energy a year- that’s 117,307 per week! We will be setting back temperatures in closed buildings to reduce energy use over the spring break. Please help us by doing the following before you leave:

-Shut down computers, monitors and printers. During normal business hours and non-holiday workdays, OTS recommends that the faculty/staff machines be left running overnight so they can properly receive software updates.

-Unplug cell phones chargers, coffee makers, TVs, stereos and other electrical devices from the wall. Plugged in devices use power even when they are not turned on.
-Turn off the lights.
-Lock doors and windows.
