Katherine Holman, Special Education, presented a paper entitled, “Building Social Connections for Young Children with Autism” at the annual American Speech-Language and Hearing Conference in Chicago, IL on November 18, 2013.

Katherine Holman, Special Education, was an invited presenter at the annual American Speech-Language and Hearing Conference in Chicago, IL on November 18, 2013.  She participated on a panel entitled, “Cultivating Collaboration:  Innovative Interprofessional Education Experiences in Preparation for Effective Practice in
Autism Spectrum Disorders.”

Samuel Bernstein (KNES) presented “Boulevard of Broken Dreams: The Perils of Public Intellectualism” at the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport 34th Annual Conference in Quebec City, Canada, November 7, 2013.

Andrea Boucher (KNES) presented “Moving and Learning in Early Childhood Education” at a Preschool Physical Education conference sponsored by the Maryland Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD) State Convention in Hunt Valley, MD. October 17, 2013. She was joined by Dr. Diane Craft, from New York & Becca Johnson, from Montana.

Catherine Publico (NURS)& Joanna Basuray (NURS) presented “Population Based Health Screening for Nepalese/Bhutanese Refugees in Baltimore City: A Collaborative Project with University” at The Transcultural Nursing Society’s 39th Annual Conference in Albuquerque, MI, October 24, 2013.  Paper was based on the CHP Initiatives funded grant that included Ms. Publico’s capstone community practicum as a graduate nursing student last year.
