OTS is performing a major upgrade on the Homeshare (H: drive) service to increase its performance and reliability. A longer than normal maintenance period is required to properly migrate and verify the large amount of data. Please read this message in its entirety!
The Homeshare service will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 through noon Sunday, October 20, 2013.
To quicken the process and maintain data integrity, it is important that faculty and staff reboot their computers when leaving for the weekend to properly disconnect any open files. Faculty and staff should not log back in after rebooting Friday evening.
For individuals that will require Homeshare documents during the maintenance period, OTS recommends temporarily copying them to flash drives, O: drives, or emailing them to yourself before Friday evening.
When the maintenance is complete, a post will be made to http://alerts.towson.edu.
