Sara Sides has been appointed Director of the Registrar’s Office. Sara has been with the University since 1988, first in Student Affairs and then with the Registrar’s Office, where she has served as an Associate Director for 17 years. Sara holds a master’s in Human Resource Development from Towson. She will manage the day-to-day operations of the office and continue to be the PeopleSoft functional lead for Student Records.
Erika Carlson-Hiles has been promoted to Associate Director for Academic Policy & Graduation and will oversee both units within the Registrar’s Office. Erika started at Towson in 2004 with the Graduate School and moved to the Registrar’s Office in June of 2011, where she has been instrumental in blending graduate and undergraduate policies and procedures, and improving office technologies. She holds a master’s in College Student Personnel from Miami University in Ohio.
Suzanne Hill and Willa Fan have been named assistant directors for the Registrar’s Office. Suzanne is Assistant Director for Curriculum Management. She has been with the office since 2004 and holds a master’s in Professional Writing from Towson. She also teaches English at the University. Willa is the Assistant Director for PeopleSoft Technology. She joined the Registrar’s Office in 2006 from the private sector as a systems analyst. She is pursuing her master’s in Interaction Design & Information Architecture at UB.
