The following is information regarding upcoming 2013-2014 parking permit sales. If you do not plan on purchasing a parking permit and you did not use payroll deduction as your payment method last year, please disregard this notice. If you will be purchasing a parking permit or used payroll deduction last year and will not be purchasing a permit this year, please see below for important information regarding permit sales.
General Information
- If you utilized payroll deduction last year and you do not want your permit renewed, you must complete the Cancel Payroll Deduction Card and turn in the card along to Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO), located on the first floor of the Union. Cards are available at the Auxiliary Services Business Office.
- Payroll deduction will continue automatically for those who used this payment method last year. If you used payroll deduction last year and want to obtain a permit for the coming year, you do NOT need to do anything. Your permit will automatically be renewed.
- 2013-2014 Annual permits may not be used until August 19, 2013.
- Current permits will expire on August 31, 2013.
- Faculty and staff parking permits will go on sale for those who do not have automatic renewals, beginning Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9 a.m.
- Parking permits will be available for purchase on-line at www.towson.edu/parking.
- Please ensure you review your parking account and verify the plate information that is on your account.
- A current copy of the parking regulations and additional information regarding Parking and Transportation Services is posted on the Web.
- Effective May 27, 2013, all Faculty/Staff gates in the Faculty/Staff gated areas will be removed and the AVI transponders will longer be used. There is no need to return the AVI to parking services.
Parking Permit Cost
- Permit rates will remain the same as last year. Rates are posted on the web at www.towson.edu/parking.
- Permit rates are based on employee’s annualized base salary (including Chair Stipends). This information is provided to Parking Services by Human Resources. Discrepancies about annualized salary information as of June 30, 2013 should be directed to asbo@towson.edu or call x4-2284, Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Hybrid Vehicle Information
- Individuals who currently have a hybrid vehicle permit do not need to submit a new hybrid application. The hybrid classification will be retained.
- If payroll deduction was not used as the method of payment, you must go online to purchase your parking permit.
- For those who no longer own a hybrid vehicle, the Parking & Transportation office must be contacted and the individual’s record will be updated so you can purchase a regular parking permit on-line.
- Please remember, a hybrid permit cannot be used for non-hybrid vehicles. Parking regulations are enforced at all times.
