Dr. Richard Vatz, COMM/MCOM, published a lead article in The Baltimore Sun, “Liberal Media Bias is Beyond doubt,” on March 18.

Dr. Richard Vatz, COMM/MCOM, was a guest on WBAL’s C-4 show to discuss media bias on March 19.

Dr. Richard Vatz, COMM/MCOM, was a guest on WMAR’s Square Off to discuss John Leopold’s sentencing , the new Pope, North Korea and the Ravens on March 17.

Dr. Richard Vatz, COMM/MCOM, was a guest on WEAA’s Marc Steiner Show on March 19 to discuss the 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq with Dr. Shibley Telhami, Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland, College Park; Dr. Adil Shamoo, Associate Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and Senior Analyst for Foreign Policy in Focus; and Dr. Thabit Abdullah, associate professor in the Department of History at York University in Toronto.

Chuck Dierbach, Department of Computer and Information Sciences, had his new textbook, Introduction to Computer Science Using Python: A Computational Problem-Solving Focus,  published by John Wiley and Sons.

 

Cook Library

Sarah Gilchrist, Research and Instruction Librarian, co-authored an article titled “Online access to higher education on YouTubeEDU” in the journal New Library World. This article examines the usage and production of educational videos on YouTubeEDU, an open video-sharing, educational area of YouTube established in 2009 and used primarily by institutions of higher education.
